Synopsis
The lead character, a Vampire, is a slave in his own misery. A captive to long life, he sees happiness pass him by. Unable to love, and be loved, to be with a woman, to have friends, he lives out his existence in stale unhappiness. With long life come wealth, and possessions, but no joy. He resides in a stately mansion, with beautiful grounds, separated from others, trying to fight what he is and what he has to do to stay alive. Intelligent as he is, he seeks answers like the rest of us, from Holy Books and Holy places, but receives no peace from them. He hates what he is, and what he must do and tries his best to fight the urge, but like the primitive animal, he cannot resist the ancient forces that control him and in the end is forced to seek a victim.
